Scottland FC coach Norman Mapeza believes his side could have scored in their goalless draw against Hardrock FC on March 8 but wasted good chances throughout the game.

The 2026 Castle Lager Premier  Soccer League Matchday 1 encounter was played at the newly constructed Chahwanda Stadium in Kwekwe.

Speaking after the game, Mapeza also suggested that the pitch conditions affected their play.

“We had some decent opportunities in the game,” the gaffer said.

“If we had buried those chances, we could be talking a different story.

“But the guys worked very hard on a difficult pitch. It was muddy due to the rains, but I’m not taking anything away from the boys, they played so well.
“Our focus is now on the next game.”

Mapeza added: “I’m more than happy, look how we created the chances. We’re now looking forward to the next match.”
